Life of Chip ("the Show", "we") is an interactive AI-generated animated comedy that streams live on YouTube and at lifeofchip.com. This policy explains what information the Show handles and how.

YouTube API Services

Life of Chip uses YouTube API Services to operate its own live broadcasts. By interacting with the Show's YouTube live chat, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

What we access and why

YouTube live chat messages on our own broadcasts: your public display name and message text. Chat messages may be used to shape the live story: a suggestion you post can be written into the episode, and your public display name may be shown on the stream to credit your contribution.
Suggestions submitted on lifeofchip.com: the text you type into the suggestion box. No account or sign-in is required.
Votes: plot-twist votes cast in chat or on the website are tallied anonymously.

The Show accesses only its own channel's broadcast and chat data. It does not access any other channel's data, does not require viewers to sign in with Google, and never sees private account information.

Storage and retention

Chat messages and suggestions processed by the Show are kept in operational logs and a story database used to run and improve the Show, retained for up to 30 days before rotation. Broadcast recordings published on YouTube may contain on-screen credits (your public display name) permanently, as part of the aired episode.

What we don't do

We do not sell or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on lifeofchip.com.
We do not collect email addresses, payment details, or account credentials.

AI processing

Chat suggestions are processed by AI models (text, image, and speech generation) to produce the Show in real time. Message text may be transmitted to these AI service providers solely to generate Show content.

Your choices and deletion

To have your data removed from our logs and story database, email achiplife@gmail.com with your YouTube display name and the approximate date, and we will delete associated stored data within 30 days. You can manage or revoke Google-side permissions at any time via Google security settings.
